spring is here!

my spring collection has launched! it is definitely my most colorful collection yet. my collection combines multicolored jade, bright orange carnelian, colorful chalcedony, and lots of other gemstones. my collection was inspired by choi gene-uk's painting, the window. I came across this incredibly colorful painting during a trip to the seoul museum of art.

when I discovered this painting, I spent forever looking at all of the different color combinations. my iphone is filled with snapshots of pieces of the canvas. above are some of the pictures I took. I brought the colorful splotches to life in my latest collection, available here.

splashes of color

this past weekend I explored the seoul museum of art. my favorite exhibit was "hidden tracks". based on the concept of a hidden track on a music album, this exhibit was composed of eclectic works from nineteen korean artists in their 50s and 60s that symbolized their journey and passion for art.

I spent about 20 minutes admiring the many
different color combinations in "the window"

snapped about 40 photos of different areas on the canvas

don't be surprised if you see this color combination
appear in one of my necklaces
