adios, polar vortex

today I am off to san fran! after suffering through the polar vortex in NYC I am very glad to get a break. I also am definitely in need of a change of scenery. its been over a year since I had a real vacation and I could not be more excited.

I've been vacationing in maui for the past week with my family and I thought I'd share a few snapshots from the trip thus far (fortunately we have a few more days in paradise before I return to chilly nyc). I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the vivid colors of the islands and have made lots of sketches of pieces I'll put together when I return home to my studio. more photos to come!
