one of my favorite iPhone apps is the sprinkles app, which allows you to stay informed about the latest flavors. don't miss out on german chocolate and s'mores this month!

nothing beats a warm cup of marie belle's dark hot chocolate (speaking of hot chocolate, the City Bakery Hot Chocolate Festival kicks off february 1. the menu is divine.)

what jackie wore: india

as I prepare for my upcoming trip to India, I've been busy working on my wardrobe (pretty minimalist: kurtas, leggings, cotton scarves, and simple jewelry) and looking for ideas of what to bring. I came across these photos of Jackie Kennedy's 1962 trip to India. I absolutely adore the colors and prints she chose and wish I could pack such amazing dresses.

valentine's day

valentine's day is right around the corner and my valentine's collection is now available online! this collection features a variety of gemstones and organics in the red-pink color palette. unlike chocolates and flowers, these lovely pieces last forever!

another beauty find that I adore this week is traffic-stopper copper, a top coat from the sephora by O.P.I collection (from their jewelry top coats collection)

looks fabulous with a hunter green or deep purple base (or even neon orange for some spark!)

and last but not least, one of my favorite nail polish brands (Butter London) just announced their new spring/summer 2012 colors! I'm especially obsessed with the green polish, Slapper.

I'm pleased to announce my brand new tumblr blog! I am constantly searching the internet for images and colors that strike my fancy to put on the inspiration wall in my studio. I decided to also create a virtual inspiration wall to share with others. I will update the blog almost daily. enjoy!

snapshots from hawaii

I've been vacationing in maui for the past week with my family and I thought I'd share a few snapshots from the trip thus far (fortunately we have a few more days in paradise before I return to chilly nyc). I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the vivid colors of the islands and have made lots of sketches of pieces I'll put together when I return home to my studio. more photos to come!

drink more color!

I try to avoid overly-ambitious new years resolutions and to be honest I live a pretty healthy lifestyle (minus the cupcake addiction...) so I never feel the need to change too much. but one thing I am going to make a real effort to do more is drink green juice! green juice makes a good snack in between breakfast and lunch, its a good replacement for sugary coffee drinks in the afternoon, and it looks really pretty with a blue and white stripe straw (naturally, how I must drink it!). so, cheers to a happy and healthy 2012!
