adventures in seoul: the beginning

I have arrived in seoul, south korea! very excited to add another stamp to my passport.  I arrived in the wee hours of the morning on tuesday (tuesday in seoul...monday afternoon in nyc...) and have been doing a bit of exploring as I recover from jet lag. I'm staying with my little brother in the city hall neighborhood of seoul. here are a few highlights of the first two days of my trip!:

watched the sunrise in seoul a few hours after I arrived

first subway trip! 

went to lotte mart and found an exciting selection of nail polishes

highlight of lotte mart was the mini "greenhouse" with lettuce in the middle of the store

had a hot pot (beef, veggies, dumplings, and green tea noddles) for dinner the first night
