going for the gold

I am obsessed with the olympics. 

when I was four I watched the 1988 summer games in seoul and thought the ribbon twirling they do during the rhythmic gymnastics was the coolest thing ever. my mom even made me a ribbon wand out of the cardboard tube from a paper towel roll and ribbon. and I put on my bathing suit and ran around the house, pretending I was an athlete. 

while I no longer pretend to be an athlete, I still love watching the games. naturally, I have been planning the jewelry I'm going to wear as a spectator for my favorite sports (swimming, diving, gymnastics, and track and field). my marilyn necklaces (in gold, bronze, and silver) are a natural choice. go team USA!
