so everyone who knows me understands that color is my thing. when I saw this image in bazaar magazine, I nearly died. colorful hair=permanent color statement. I wish I had the guts to do this slash I constantly think about making a daily statement like this...thoughts?

{real} golden nails

behold, nail polish with 18K gold flakes.

while reading the november issue of bazaar magazine, I came across an advertisement for this OPI nail polish. I was immediately excited. two of my great loves, jewelry and nail polish, were combining forces. and at a $30 price tag (gold is currently about $1,720 an ounce), what's not to love. you can guarantee I will be adding this to my nail polish collection very soon! and I totally plan to pair it with my gold marilyn necklace for holiday parties.

interior inspiration

I have always been obsessed with interior design. when I was seven years old I sketched out my dream apartment. my aesthetic has changed a bit since I was seven, but my desire to have lots of color in my home remains.

this fall I have been taking an interior design class at the school of interior design in nyc and our final project is to design a one bedroom apartment. over the next few posts I will share the details of my apartment design, starting with the dining room.

the dining room is inspired by my recent trip to india. I've contrasted classic wood furniture from crate and barrel with bold prints from madeline weinrib. and of course a statement chandelier and bright blue paint on the ceiling.

inspired iphone case

several weeks ago I entered the uncommon fall inspiration iphone case design contest and submitted my fall inspiration board. I was incredibly excited when I heard I was picked as one of the six winners and that the uncommon team was going to design an iphone case based upon my inspiration board. the iphone case just became available online and I love the colors and geometry the uncommon team used in the case!
