rebuilding

as a new yorker, its been a really tough week. 

I have been extremely fortunate (even though my apartment is 1/2 block from the infamous dangling crane on 57th street) to have had no damage or major issues this week. but I have close friends who have lost water and power,  have been evacuated, and one who even had her house destroyed. so its been a bit of a roller coaster of emotions and the tough part of rebuilding is just beginning. 

between now and monday, 25% of all purchases from my website will go to the american red cross. in addition, I will also be donating 25% off all proceeds from my upcoming holiday trunk shows (shoot me an email at katie@katiebartels.com to get details) to the red cross.
